A judge has been identified for the livestock jackpot show May 25. Cody Runft graduated with a bachelors degree in animal science from Texas A&M and was a member of the livestock judging team. The donor list will be distributed at the next meeting. The show will remain a market show only but was voted to break the hogs and steers into breeds to open the possibility of having the steer show a MCA sanctioned point show. It was also approved to add Boer goats to the show this year. The start time is pushed back to 10:00 AM to allow exhibitors to have more travel and set up time as well as possibly increasing the lunch crowd. The jackpot show entry form will be modified to accommodate changes in the show as well as add information with regard to the limited availability of stall space and the availability of bedding for purchase on site.
